Luke 12:15 states,
“…Take care, and be on your guard against covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
What Jesus was saying here, is that your life does not consist in the abundance of things. The things you have here on Earth mean nothing if God is not in them: if you can not use them to advance his kingdom. Your real and true abundance lies in the truth and knowledge of Jesus Christ. For he is with you, and he will lead you through all spiritual things.
Jesus is saying that we must take precaution not to let physical things, worldly things here on Earth, strip us and deprive us from receiving the kingdom of God.
God has given us the ability to produce wealth, but his treasures are laid up for us in heavenly places.
Remember God’s will for you, for it is far more pleasing to God for you to make it into heaven than for you to make a name for yourself here on Earth.
God is telling us, commanding us, to store up heavenly treasures,
“for yours is the kingdom of God.”
God bless you.
